colleges and universities.
Internships offer students the opportunity to learn while
working in a business environment relevant to their course
of study. Our interns receive practical experience to help
them in today’s changing world. In addition, our
interns are an important component of our workforce as
they make valuable contributions to the departments and
the projects they are assigned.
With internship opportunities in both Chicago and Columbus,

Internship Requirements:
Intern candidates are expected to
complete an Application
for Internship and
submit a current resume.
Spectrum Interns are required to work a minimum of 15
hours per week and not to exceed 25 hours per week. Spectrum
and relevant supervisors will work to help you achieve
a flexible work schedule.
Students operating on both semesters and quarters are

In addition to traditional fund administration, Spectrum
offers clients an array of daily middle office functionality
utilizing state of the art proprietary technology.

We are currently seeking a second or third year accounting
major who can spend 20-25 hours performing a variety
of duties, including:
General Responsibilities:
- General Ledger and Accounting
Reconciliations
- Generating bank statements and
proprietary accounting information
- Executing the
daily cash, position, and profit & loss
reconciliation process between our clients
trading systems, prime broker’s execution
and clearing system, and Spectrum’s portfolio
accounting system
- Run automated “matching” reports
to identify discrepancies
- Tracking and monitoring
the status of open audit queries and ensuring timely
closure of pending items
Requirements:
Basic financial product knowledge a plus (Equity, Fixed Income etc.). The ideal candidate will have an interest in or familiarity with financial markets, securities, or financial services businesses.
Other requirements include:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree
in Accounting.
- GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Reliable and goal oriented
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Attention to detail and extremely organized
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Must work well independently and be proficient
in Excel

We are currently seeking a professional, energetic,
organized and detail-oriented individual to join
our Investor Services team. This position will
require a high level of commitment to customer
satisfaction; all client requirements and inquiries
must be handled in a professional, timely and
accurate manner. Ideally, this person possesses
an interest in the financial services industry.
Hedge fund client/investor service experience
is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Processing of Subscription Documentation (review
for completeness, conduct Anti Money Laundering reviews)
- Determination
of investor classifications and setup investor
profiles within technology database
(new
issue eligibility, ERISA status, management and
incentive fee structure, lock-up periods, etc)
- Prepare
subscription/redemption confirmations to investors
- Coordinate
with Accounting and Operations Group to have capital
activity posted to client’s account
- Setup of web access for Investors (setting up
and testing investor logins, creating login confirmations)
- Position
will also include light administrative work such
as scanning, filing, mailings, and occasional
reception coverage
Requirements:
- Enrollment in a Bachelors of Business Administration
degree program (finance or accounting concentration
preferred)
- Superior communications skills in both
client-support and team environments
- Attention to
detail and the ability to be extremely organized
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- All applicants
must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours
per week, not to exceed 25 hours per
